Brand New Reader Sets
Brand New Readers Set I bought these sets of books when I was working in US. No regret. My children started their reading using these set of books. Their first English story books which they can read by themselves. Funny, humorous stories and simple, repetitive words used. And what my girls enjoy most is the humor behind each stories.Age group: 2-3 years old, new reader.
Sunshine Reading Series (Good for beginner)
I have been wanting to introduce these great books long ago. I bought these sets of books last year, at the lelong corner @Pelangi store. Very cheap some more. One of the best series for first time reader. Their second set of English story books which they can read by themselves. Product from New Zealand.Age group: 2-3 years old, new reader.
Barney Series
I seldom buy books from Cartoon or Children show characters like Thomas or Barney etc. Bought these two Barney books as they are just suitable for me to read to my girls when they are still very very young.  To promote the courtesy (Please and Thank You) as well as give them an idea that it’s fine to see doctor and what to expect a doctor might do. Luckily they don’t cry or show tantrum when seeing a doctor thus far. (Touch wood). Age group: 2-3 years old, parents to read :).
Please Play Safe
A gift to the girls from my babysitter. The hottest book at home now. Good way to tell the kids what is right and wrong when playing with friends in playground. Age group: 3-4 years old, young reader.
Category: Work Books
IMG_0002 This one mainly to help preschool learn the numbers and its quantity and sequencing. A lot of writing exercises and also joining the dots (to practise number sequence). Not a must have. I was curious about how Kumon introduce numbers to preschooler when I bought this book. The book do use small dots to illustrate the quantity of the number. My girls still prefer more big pictures for counting. So it’s more for writing practise to me.Age group: preschool, new to numbering and not able to write well yet.
IMG_0004 A good book that shows you how addition is taught the Kumon way. Started with addition +1 and +2. Uses a lot of number sequencing. Has some useful tips for parents.I had an argument with my hubby on how to teach my girl addition and decided to buy this book. Wanted to know what is Kumon’s way, ended up it’s worth a buy.Age group: 4-6 years old.

Pre-requisite: able to write and understand number sequence.

IMG_0001 I must say this is a good text book cum work book. Every set of worksheets start with a reading page, which consists of a few short sentences and introduction of a few new words. Then follow by some revision exercises. It comes with flashcards and checklist. I am so glad I find it. Not too much writing, and the children can practise the words they learn.Age group: though it stated 5-7, I think as long as your children is able to read, and know writing a bit, it’s a good workbook to start with. Ying completed first 3 sets of worksheets at the age of 3 because minimal writing required.
最常用的华语字 Same recommendation as above. A good text book cum work book. Every set of worksheets start with a reading page, which consists of a few short sentences and introduction of a few new words. Then followed by some revision exercises. It comes with flashcards and checklist. Not too much writing, and the children can practise the words they learn.Age group: though it stated 5-7, I think as long as your children is able to read, and know writing a bit, it’s a good workbook to start with. Ling completed second terms of worksheets before 5 years old.
