Life long sharing . . .

“Failure” and “Not Trying”

Posted on: March 6, 2016

A few night ago, Ling told her father, “Daddy, what if I didn’t do well in UPSR? ”

“I heard a few Std 6 students saying UPSR is very difficult, very tough,”  continued Ling.

mm… though we have been telling them, result is not important, as long as you learn and study and do your part, that is it. We don’t set any target or expectation. .. but I guess that doesn’t stop them from feeling the stress…. 😦

Today this article by 杨澜, a Chinese journalist, and talk show hostess caught my attention,

“I can accept my child failed, but cannot accept he didn’t even try.” (“我可以接受孩子失败, 但不能接受他没有尝试)

Ya, how to teach my children that it’s ok to fail? What is important is, dare to try!

And I like this story about Michael Jordan in the article:
